How to treat  the ants?

It  is  a  serious  problem  in  our  community.  Insecticide  seems  useless.  Furtunately,  the  ants  here  are  not  fire  ants.  But  they  are  still  bothersome.  I  barely  eat  any  food  that  will  drop  chips.  The  ants  even  climb  to  my  daughter  when  she  is  eating.  How  terrible!I  hate  them  very  much.  Do  you  guys  know  how  to  treat  the  ants  without  toxicity  (because  I  have  a  baby)?
