It’s  never  too  early  for  a  fashion  retrospective,  at  least  according  to  Didier  Ludot,  the  Paris  vintage  guru  in  Palais  Royale.  Ludot  said  he  would  showcase  designs  by  Zac  Posen  in  October  during  Paris  Fashion  Week.  “It’s  fun  doing  a  retrospective  on  such  a  young  designer,”  said  Ludot.  “It’s  unconventional.”

Not  that  Ludot  frowns  on  tradition.  He  also  said  he  would  adorn  his  windows  with  vintage  Balenciaga  this  July  to  coincide  with  a  retrospective  exhibition  on  Balenciaga  at  the  Louvre’s  Museum  of  Fashion  and  Textiles.  (wwd)

In  2006,  Hardy  Amies,  the  last  great  British  Haute  Couture  house,  will  celebrate  it`s  60th  year.    On  26th  April,  this  anniversary  will  be  honoured  by  the  Victoria  &  Albert  Museum  as  part  of  its  Fashion  in  Motion  series.    Four  shows  throughout  the  day  will  feature  the  house`s  recent  collections  by  new  Creative  Director,  Ian  Garlant,  as  well  as  reproductions  of  key  pieces  from  the  1940s  and  `60s  from  its  archives.

Free  entry  but  tickets  are  very  limited  so  booking  is  essential

The  Costume  Institute  has  chosen  the  designers  whose  works  will  be  part  of  the  "AngloMania:  Tradition  and  Transgression  in  British  Fashion"  exhibit  from  May  3  to  Sept.  4.

The  exhibit  will  feature  a  mix  of  British  designers,  tailors,  milliners,  a  jeweler  and  a  cobbler.  John  Galliano,  Alexander  McQueen,  Christopher  Bailey  for  Burberry,  Hussein  Chalayan,  Vivienne  Westwood  and  Stella  McCartney  are  the  featured  fashion  designers;  Paul  Smith,  Ozwald  Boateng,  Anderson  &  Sheppard,  Richard  Anderson,  Huntsman,  Richard  James,  Henry  Poole  and  Carlo  Brandelli  for  Kilgour  are  the  tailors;  the  millinery  will  be  by  Stephen  Jones  and  Philip  Treacy;  jewelry  will  be  by  Shaun  Leane,  and  Manolo  Blahnik  will  provide  the  shoes.  (wwd)

巴黎LV博物館典藏的18件行李用品，從1854年LV第一個硬殼行李箱，到彩色Monogram訂製行李，從白楊木箱到經典帆布材質、從擺放餐具到放置衣物、鞋款和雨具等私人物件的衣櫃式特殊行李箱，蒐羅完整。

For  a  certain  generation,  the  sixties  remain  the  decade  that  defined  the  20th  centuary.  The  Beatles  were  at  their  peak,  the  miniskirts  were  raising  eyebrows  as  well  as  hemlines  and  the  icon  of  the  time  were  true  superstars.

Now  a  new  exhibition  is  paying  homage  to  that  golden  era.  `Sorry  you  missed  the  sixties?`  offers  you  a  distinctive  insight  into  the  decade  through  the  wonderful  photographs  of  top  celebrity  photograoher  Philip  Townsend(also  known  as  Rolling  Stones`  manager).

the  photographs  collection  will  exhibited  until  April  25  at  The  Gallery,  129  StJohn`s  Hill,  London  W11.

Giorgio  Armani:  Retrospective 
上海,  Shanghai  Art  Museum

The  exhibit  is  organized  in  cooperation  with  the  Shanghai  Art  Museum  where  the  400  garments,  original  sketches,  and  audio-visual  presentations  will  be  presented. 

The  exhibition  also  examines  the  influence  of  Eastern  and  North  African  cultures  on  Armani’s  work,  while  the  installation  design  section  features  composer  Michael  Galasso‘s  original  music  score  and  soundtrack  for  Hong  Kong  director  Wong  Kar-wai’s  film,  In  the  Mood  for  Love.

展覽單位是  The  Goldsmiths`  Company
大家都知道英國貴重金屬上面會打  hall  mark
告知成分等等譬如說大家熟悉的  925  純銀
這個單位從十四世紀（如果沒記錯）起
就在  St.  Paul  後面
他們負責的工作之一就是  hall  marking
只是我很驚訝的發現
原來  hall  marking  不是官方的耶
但是他們的  hall  marking  幾乎全歐洲都會接受

他們現在也努力於教育及提供資源
希望訓練人才承接  silversmithing  /  jewellery

光他們的建築物本身就壯觀美麗到值得去參觀了喔！

Toulouse  Lautrec  and  the  Art  Nouveau  Poster

Birmingham  Museum  and  Art  Gallery  will  be  the  first  venue  to  host  Toulouse  Lautrec  and  the  Art  Nouveau  Poster,  an  exhibition  of  approximately  130  important  French,  Belgian  and  Spanish  posters  from  the  early  19th  century  Romantic  period  to  the  end  of  the  Art  Nouveau  period. 

The  exhibition  presents  the  cultural  and  aesthetic  influence  of  the  posters  of  Toulouse-Lautrec  and  his  associates  on  poster  art  in  Brussels  and  Barcelona  at  the  end  of  the  19th  century.  The  exhibition  brings  together  celebrated  poster  images  by  by  Henri  de  Toulouse-Lautrec,  including  his  large  1891  poster  for  the  Moulin  Rouge,  as  well  as  major  works  by  the  other  leading  poster  artists  working  such  as  Jules  Cheret  Alphonse  Mucha.
