英文字帶有負面的意思

第一句是說"你一概而論"
就是說看到一個例子就當成常態


第二句則是指想要擠進上流社會的人

那generally speaking 也是負面的意思囉

另外很多人說Kate Middleton, Pippa Middleton都是social climbers
但我覺得他們不像啊
所以才想問到底social climber 的定義

1. you (have) generalise it : 你想的太廣了
沒負面意思
有點把其他不該包括的意思算進去你想的東西

2. he/she`s a social climber
有負面意思
是說這個人很愛往某個圈子裡面鑽
可是這個圈子的人根本不認同他

所以才想問到底social climber 的定義是什麼?

climber 攀爬者
硬往某個社交圈爬進去的人
