The first question one might ask regarding English as a foreign language is; "How much of my time should I spend learning English?" The answer to this question will vary depending on the student, their level of fluency, and the reason for learning English. For instance, if you are taking ESL courses in an effort to learn content writing in order to find a job that speaks American, you don't necessarily need to continue learning English. Even if your ultimate goal is to land a position where you would be speaking the language, you don't need to spend time daily studying. This will likely not be financially feasible, and it may not be a quality you can maintain over the course of several years.
