i  wore  Camper.  It  lasted  me  real  long.  But  do  not  choose  those  with  the  soft  rubber  sole  (think  Clark`s  Wallabees)  `cos  they  might  just  split  at  the  front.  The  regular  Campers  are  good  though.

Can  u  show  me  some  pix  abt  "The    regular    Campers"?

regular  camper  meaning  those  with  the  tiny  balls  as  the  sole.  pelotas  or  brothers  those  type.
i  wore  it  in  paris  for  1  month,  walked  a  lot...no  probs  at  all.
otherwise,  i  think  sneakers  should  be  fine  too.  but  roads  in  paris  can  be  a  little  rough,  so  sole  shouldnt  be  too  thin  :)
