My poem/short story (14 yrs+)
Bitter-Sweet
On the last day of the spring,
we met again.
A drink was what you wanted
I am the red Cosmopolitan
With much passion
You are the clear Rum X
Sweet and icy-cold
Six glasses and a conversation
That was all we needed
Like two old friends
But you wanted more
I asked, "can we have no more?"
Desire and lust
I see in your eyes
Like viruses
I was soon infected
Cocktail with animal desire
I began to release
With all my passion
Then I paused
For not feeling safe
I wanted to be protected
So the hero came
And you protected us
I began to moan
Raised my white flag
All I ever wanted
Was to be high
I began to cry
Tears dropped off my eye
My true and only love
Is in another continent
Not knowing my betrayal
My soul is sinned
I am a devil
But you should not have cried
"Allergy," you said
Now all I wonder is
Why are you bitter-sweet?
On the last day of the spring,
we met again.
A drink was what you wanted
I am the red Cosmopolitan
With much passion
You are the clear Rum X
Sweet and icy-cold
Six glasses and a conversation
That was all we needed
Like two old friends
But you wanted more
I asked, "can we have no more?"
Desire and lust
I see in your eyes
Like viruses
I was soon infected
Cocktail with animal desire
I began to release
With all my passion
Then I paused
For not feeling safe
I wanted to be protected
So the hero came
And you protected us
I began to moan
Raised my white flag
All I ever wanted
Was to be high

Tears dropped off my eye
My true and only love
Is in another continent
Not knowing my betrayal
My soul is sinned

Now all I wonder is
Why are you bitter-sweet?
