以前有用過，都是自己從網路取的，找意思、來源，覺得好聽就用， 可是因為不常用，而且總覺得少了點和自己的關係、關聯性， 三不五時就會想改一個。 後來要申請常用E-mail時，都是使用名字的英文拼音， 也就是中文的小名：阿什麼的，之後也終於不用為自己的名字煩惱了。 &nbsp;

不過如果有一天我需要和別人說名字，而別人不好發音或常講錯的話， 或許就有可能再找一個名字使用。 為了別人不用太勉強研究我的名字， 除非熟了，或是別人不會在意被糾正，才會用真名~~~(不過目前沒需要，這只是想像的未來) 另外，我曾在網路上看過一位外國人在討論這話題， 是阿兜仔不教美語的黑素斯，在youtube的留言裡也有很多這方面的討論， 有興趣可以連過去看看唷！ <iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="336" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/QJLSypypZKA" width="448"></iframe>

小時候去上英文課，老師給我個英文名字叫Cathy，我自己不是很喜歡。 後來給自己取了幾個英文名，但反應也都不是很好。 直到最後一個，是我現在用的，是為了申請網路的暱稱取的，之後進公司也需要英文名，就延續使用到今天。 以前上個空中英語教室，上頭說我們都要有個英文名，這樣跟老外自我介紹時，他們才不會覺得奇怪。 反而是到了歐洲之後，老歐反而覺得亞洲人使用英文名很怪，漸漸地我又用回了我的本名。 而每次跟朋友提到，一開始老師給我的Cathy這個名字時，大家都只有一句話：「你怎麼可能是Cathy？」

多年前網路信箱開始大流行 申請信箱都得用英文..... 老早忘了國中時英文老師幫我取什麼英文名 為了簡單才用了這個tina 庸俗又簡單 &nbsp;

小時候學英文補習班老師取的 但是總覺得很俗氣 所以到大學幫自己改 大學讀英文相關科系所以同學老師都叫英文名 現在連公司內部都互叫英文名

去工作後公司要求的 公司同事大多都要叫彼此英文名字 FB,LINE也是都用英文名字 不過我的不是英文名字,是日文名字~因為我哈日時自己取的= = 我討厭英文所以不喜歡英文名也沒住過國外... 我也搞不懂台灣人幹嚒一定都要有英文名~取名是被逼的!

英文這件事情是遇到了外國朋友之後，朋友非常不能理解的事情之一。 Why do you people have a fake English nickname? it is not even your real name? aren&#39;t u proud of your own name? 基本上我的朋友，教授，同事都會叫我中文名字的發音。 感覺反而住在台灣才用English nick name...interesting, right?

I worked at an organization consisted of Americans only and no one around me could speak Mandarin. I have an English name (your so-called English nickname, except that I dont consider it &quot;nickname&quot; but my real identity) and all of my colleagues called me by my English name. I thought about changing my name to include my English name (and am still thinking about it). The main reason I haven&#39;t done it yet is that I have lived in too many different countries and to make modifications to all the legal documents would be time-consuming and cost a lot of money. Regardless, more likely than not that I will proceed with such change as soon as I move back to America. Back to the topic, I have an English name because 1.) I don&#39;t like my Chinese name and 2) my Chinese name is very difficult to pronounce for non-native speakers. So far, I haven&#39;t met any non-Chinese speaker who could say my name correctly even if they just repeat after me. Not even my husband who has been with me for over 10 years... =___= In social occassions, I go by whatever name I feel like, English or Chinese. Be it my legal name or not. It should be &quot;MY&quot; choice and anyone who has a say can go spread his/her idea of &quot;respecting where you are from&quot; kinda shxt to someone else.
